Hi, I was born and grew up in South Shields, I've lived away from the area for over 15 years now, but my family are still local, and I was supposed to visit them for Christmas, but sadly living in what has recently become a Tier 4 area, I'm not able to visit. I realised that I'm going to save some money that would otherwise have been spent on travel costs, and I decided that I'd like to gift some of that to community based charities in my home town; after a bit of research, I came across yourselves, and I think what you're doing is so vital, so it wasn't a hard decision to choose you. I work for a charity myself - supporting spinal cord injured people and their families to navigate life after injury - and I know how much love, hard work and dedication is poured into everything that small charities like yours do. I hope this small gesture goes some way to supporting your great work, and I wish you and all of the families under your care a great Christmas, and all the best for 2021. Reema x
